how damaging are fusion hair extensions?
I’m getting the nail tip (or U-tip) hair extensions done soon, How damaged is my own hair going to be when i take them out? this is the process where they are dipped in keratin. I have thin hair already, and if it gets bad, while it permanently be ruined?

Yes it is damaging. There is so much stress on the root as your hair sheds with the extensions on that it is impossible to avoid damage. It WILL thin your hair.
To have less damage, dont wear them for longer than 3 months at a time, and have a couple months break in between.
The damaged caused is usually not permanent (but it depends on the person) but it does take a long time to recover
