I want to get a relaxer & then put in a sew in. I havent hada relaxer in 1 year & just took out a sewin?
I just took out the sew-in it been like 3 days and I want to put in a relaxer i cant do natural hair i cant even comb my hair without breaking a comb but half of my hair is relaxer form my relaxer last year. I wanna put my relaxer in 2 days later. i plan on trimming my ends a Little like the already relaxer part. Its Straight hair human hair i wann a put in and my real hair will be out in the front and it would look abso. terrible w/o relaxing it first. my friend and I are doing the relaxer not the salon.. please help !!!!!!! I dont want my hair to fall out. I had a bad experience at the salon a couple yr ago getting a relaxer and she kept it in to long and had big bald spot in the back.. and since then i’ve only hair one relaxer( the one last year) and my hair didn’t fall out wen i put a sew in like 3 day after getting it a yr ago so i dont think it will now b/c for the past yr i’ve been having only sew ins and one time micros … im not sure.
4-5 days before you relax you need to take a wide tooth comb and thoroughly comb out your hair, starting at the ends and working up to roots. Dead hairs will be shedding. Shampoo gently at the scalp so as not to retangle the hair, and deep condition, oil and massage your scalp every other day until you are ready for the relaxer. Flat ironing your hair will smooth the cuticles, make it straighter and make it easier when you relax. Always use a wide tooth comb first to detangle, then try a regular comb to get weaker hairs and check managability. When you relax, use a protectant on the already relaxed ends like conditioner or porosity control to keep from damaging the old relaxed ends. You probably have a tone of new growth so you have to be patient and work the relaxer in good to get it straight. Make sure you thoroughly neutralize and deep condition/reconstructor conditioner afterwards, and try to give your hair at least a week and one wash/cond before you get the braids.
