Head-banging 15 month old!! PLEASE HELP!?

My daughter is 15m/o and will be fine sitting on her rocking horse (or playing etc) and for no reason will drop to the ground, start screaming and BANGING her head on the ground. HARD!! To the point she will bruise and cut herself on tiles. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why? My eldest daughter also did this at the around the same age but she became REALLY intolerable for around 2 years. I want to avoid going through it again. My eldest also became uncontrollable when she would “snap”. She would start biting, kicking, punching, pinching… really violent. Normally, bubs is ok.. until she “snaps.” It made SOME difference to take my daughter off colours, preservatives etc but we learnt from that and don’t understand why our youngest is doing the same. She hasn’t seen her sister do it either! We have seen docs who have just said bring her back in a few years (sorry, this is my eldest I’m talking about) and we’ll medicate. NOWAY! Please, any advice would be much appreciated.

OMG. I tell you these people are so damn quick to medicate these kids. IT IS NORMAL!!!!. Because of their lack of communication they get frustrated and do this in turn. I cannot tell you how badly that pisses me off to hear you repeat what the drs tell you. Tell them to read a Freakin book. Maybe start with What to Expect The Toddler Year. PLEASE PLEASE do not medicate her, she is a normal toddler that is expressing herself the only way she knows how. All of my kids outgrew it and yours will too once she gets a vocabulary. I cannot tell you how many times my kid throws himself on the floor kicking and screaming because I dont know maybe his shoe looks wrong. But my oldest is coming out of it more and so will my others. I know it sucks to go through it but it will end. Believe me I am for medication if something is truly wrong, but I am So ANTI_MEDS WHEN THERE IS NOTHING WRONG and they are being kids. Just my two cents worth.
