How do you keep your hair sleek, shiny, moisturized and healthy ?

Basically im 16 and have very dry and ew hair. Its layered, I straighten it about every 3rd day, ive never coloured it. Does anyone have any recommendations? What products do you use? Any home remedies?

Beside the advice above, there are other ways you can care for your hair that are habit-based.

For example, make sure when you are brushing or styling your hair you are not ripping it in any way, rather you are gentle with it. In the same, don’t use any hair ties that are easy to tangle and can rip your hair. I know they are not cool anymore, but if you are around the house and want to tie it up, a fabric scrunchie is really the best.

Don’t tie your hair back when you sleep, again to avoid ripping it. We move around a lot more when we are asleep than we realize.

Avoiding getting really hot (dryer, straighteners, curlers, etc), make sure you don’t bathe or wash your hair with really hot water, dries out your skin and strips hair of oil.

Cut your hair regularly, which people think you can’t do if you’re trying to grow it. Just wait a little longer between cuts, but I would never recommend going longer than 12 weeks without a cut.
