How long will a synthetic lace front wig last?
Long story short, I’m looking to buy a synthetic lace front wig. I could buy a human hair/remi wig, but I’m a newbie to the whole lace front thing and I really don’t want to mess it up. I’m going on vacation in May and I want whatever I buy to look good up until then. If I have to wear it sparingly, that’s fine.

It would depend on how you take care of it (washing, conditioning, brushing, reconditioning), and how often you wear it. Normal daily wear can manage a few months, 3-6, but I have heard stories of women keeping theirs for up to a year. Some of the newer fibers (futura) are a lot more durable (I am at 4 months on my favorite, and it still looks wonderful). I suppose most of all, it’s how well they are made, and the type of lace and fibers used. There are about 5-6 different types of lace, and the assembly and quality can mean all the difference (you get what you pay for).
I have some I wear for work, and others when I get home so they don’t get messed up. I started casual (i.e. just for daytime) but quickly grew very fond of the simplicity and ease of getting the style I wanted (ok, wigs got me spoiled). If you plan to wear a wig 24/7 (i.e. sleep or do sports), buy a spare, and keep your good one for wearing everywhere else). I prefer synthetics to human hair, for a number of reasons. I’d not worry about messing up a human hair one, it’s about as much trouble as caring for your real hair (one of the reasons).
BTW,Your website is a pretty good place to go, but I’d still suggest starting at a local shop, so you can see how they look on YOU. It’s less of a risk, and you can see how well they are assembled.
