how to make a bright orange wig less clownish for a play?
My high school is doing Guys and Dolls and our director wants the hot box girls in short, curly wigs. Well I wound up with one that is seriously the color of cheetos and looks more like a clown wig than anything found in nature. 2 other girls have this horrid color and every one else has shades of blonde, brown, and auburn. Our director won’t budge on exchanging them for actual human like colors so we were just wondering if there is anything at all that we could do to tone down the orange and make them look a little more natural… any ideas?
I would only suggest spray painting them. Or trying to buy the colored spray for hair so the the paint isn’t permanent. I think that you would be able to create a more natural look with the paint.
Maybe the wig is that color in person but after getting under the lights, it won’t look so bad.
