im trying to make him look as fancy as i can so i have some questions
. is black hoof polish still in?
. he has no mane but should i still braid his forelock?
. is dutch or french braid better?
. what finnish sould i put on the tail ( loop, wrap, pinwheel)?
. from the pics u can tell hes a funny color, if i get color enhancing shampoo should i get black or another color like gray?
. is a grey show coat okay?
. do i need a stock pin for hunter clases?
. is it okay to put a tail wrap over a braid to try to keep it in ( is it not healthy for the horse )?
. is a shaped pad better than a square?
. is vasiline on the nose okay and is it that big of a deal for halter?

you typically band a forelock for western and plait for english
either would work, i would plait
which ever you want to do, they are all in. i like to just band at the base of the tail, and not finish the braid all the way down
get quick sliver to enhance the white. if he isn’t back, don’t get black

you don’t need one, i like the look, but it is in no way required

you put baby oil on the nose, and around the eyes for halter/showmanship.

i like to use spray paint and show sheen/pepi show spray to get the horses ready. also try using band it/braid it for your braids

EDIT- you NEVER put a fake tail in the night before because you could get it dirty, and you can’t just use a brush in it because you might pull out the hairs. you always put it in in the morning of the show
