How can I draw manga hair in detail?

Like drawing thin chunks of individual strands of hair like the spanish manga artists Aurora Garcia Tejado and Diana Fernandez Devora and the russian manga artist Svetlana Chmakova. I would like to know how to draw the strands of hair to a really sharp spike. I would also like to know how my elbow, hand and wrist should move when I draw these long, thin, sharp, spiky strokes. Should I draw these sharp strokes fast or slow? Thank you.

You should create fast more kind of messing looking strands of hair then touch it up later. Add a lot of shading to indicate the depth of her/his hair. Shade more when objects (such as their hair, clothes, etc) are close to their skin to again, show depth. Move your wrist’s quick and sudden as you create a strand of hair. This will give your hair more detail. Then go over it with a fine pen (I recommend Sakura brand for pens, erasers, pencils, etc) and touch it up. After that erase the left over messy lines.
