Preserving fresh roses for hair?
i would like to make a clip for my hair (for grad) using a rose from our rosebush. does anyone know of anything i can do to the flower to keep it looking fresh all day? should i dip it in lemon juice or something? (ill only pick the rose the morning of grad)
Read the link below. I don’t think there’s a lot you can do to keep the rose fresh all day. The main advice would be to attach a small vial of water to the end of the rose, keep the rose in your refrigerator until it’s time to put it in your hair and take a few extra roses with you. That way you can change them out when they start to wilt. Just make sure you store the extras in water and in a refregerator, or in a lunch box with an ice pack in it. Also don’t get any hairspray on the rose b/c the alcohol in the spray will cause it to wilt even faster. Good luck on graduation!
