Pontiac Grand Am types ?
i am gonig to buy a grand am either a 99 a 2000 2001 or 2002 what are the cosmetic differences stereo differences MPG reliability features and things like that
also what is the difference between a Se and Gt both Coupes.
i have a 5G price rang i want a 2 door grand am with the stock spoiler power everything and a sunroof if possible. also the best gas millage available
grand ams are basically the same from 1999 to 2005 when they were replaced with the 2006 g6. they were offered as se1 which is either a 2.2 ecotec sunfire motor or a 2.4 quad for derivative motor, cloth interior, power everything, 15 inch painted wheels, no cladding on the sides, may or may not have a spoiler. then the se2 gets body cladding, a 3.4 engine, in between stereo, a power up and down but otherwise manual seat, may or may not have 16 inch wheels as an option, and has a spoiler. then the gt got ram air induction, different body cladding, different appearing interior, monsoon stereo, different tail lights and a “dual” exhaust which is the same exhaust but with another tail pipe on the muffler, all had 16 inch wheels and gt badging. i currently own a 2001 se2, and i had a 1999 gt before, not much if any difference in performance, don’t know what you get gas mileage wise on the 4 cylinders, but on both mine i got 17 city and around like 24 highway, neither one of mine had sunroofs, not too sure what sunroof was offered on what.
