SR-76: real or fiction?
Years ago i got a model airplane of a plane that was supposed to replace the SR-71 blackbird. it had sleeker looking engines and wings (well flatter wings).
I ask this because i think i might have seen one fly over my town but then again i saw a pictures on the internet of a plane that was never went into full production (jet air plane or something)..
Is there such a plane? i dont know many specs on it.. it looks like a SR71 for the most part but part of the wing curves in a 90 degree angle just above the engines. the engines also are not the nassel type ones but B2 type box engines under the wings.
did i say anything about Clancy with my question? i am talking about a model airplane i built when i was young and think i saw it in the air once.
I’ve heard about these being produced, but I’m not sure if they’ve gone into use. It sounds like a fairly high security-type project though, so for all we know they’ve been operating in classified situations for several years.
