My son stuck a PlayStation portable memory card in his new Toshiba PC and we cant get it out?
It seems to have messed up the pc it will not start up right? How can we get it out without damging the pc? I think it is the wrong size.
Its a notebook.
First of all, Don’t start up your P.C.
leave it with the power unplugged.
Next, where did he stick it in the PC at ?
if it is in the CD Rom then you can open the door by sticking a strait pin in that Etty bitty little hole in the front door of the CD and pushing. it takes a little force but not a great deal. the door should open.
you might have to unplug everything from the back and turn the case up side down or at different angles to get the cartridge to move around to allow the door to open, but it should and you should be able to remove the object.
If it is in the case it self, then just lay the case on its side with the mother board at the bottom, and open the side that faces up to you. it should be only 1 or 2 screws, probably Phillips head.
Then slide the side back and look for the offending object, find object, remove object.
then reverse the opening process, and re-hook up cables, power and go surfing again.
Possible swat should prevent that problem again. or at least Stern explanation of where the card can go and where it can’t.
