Is it acceptable to cosplay using your own hair?
I plan on cosplaying Minako Arisato/MShe/FeMC from the game Persona 3 Portable and I’m not sure what to do about my hair.
Her hairstyle isn’t anything really exaggerated, it’s a full ponytail with bobby pins. My hair color is already the same as hers, so dying it wouldn’t be a problem. However, I hear wearing a wig is more acceptable rather than styling your own hair. Which am I better off doing?
I really hope I get some answers.

if you’re on a budget, there’s no problem using your own hair. though, it is true, using a wig is preferred over using your own hair but not everyone has that kind of money. if you do have the money, however, go ahead and buy a wig. it makes your cosplay that much better.
