Do you know why you can’t find or buy a portable disk recorder like the high quality portable tape recorders?.?
Because, believe it or not, solid state technology will make discs obsolete with in the next 5 years sooner or later. And discs will go the way of tapes. The Industry does not want to invest in a portable high quality disc recorder when they too will be obsolete. Investigate this as it is true. How many tapes do you have now that you can’t play on your worn out tape player?
The definition of “disk” is very broad.
Do you mean portable CD-R, DVD-R, or hard disc?
There are camcorders with DVD-R recording capability.
If you mean CD-R, it is not worth it. It can only hold 650 MB, a $5 thumb drive can hold more than that. Anything with movable parts is more expensive.
