How do you take care of a Lionhead rabbit?
I just recently (and unexpectedly) got a lionhead rabbit and I need to know how to take care of it. I know you have to comb the mane, but anything else? More specifically:
Can I give it a bath?
Can I trim its nails with a human nail clipper?
What is a healthy diet for it? What does it eat (carrots, cabbage, from the grocery store?)
any other helpful tips and details welcome. thanks!
You can feed them rabbit food! from a pet store! and donot feed them cabbage it will make them sick!!! See if she likes hay and if it makes her sick do not feed her it anymore and if she gets sick give her taost makes their stomach feels better! Yes you can trimnails with a human clipper its not the best but you can.You may bathe her but not a lot best would be once every 3 months. Make sure you take it to a vet to be checked out. Clean her vents (her private parts) with a cotton swab and baby oil once a month and same with clipping nails. You can get all your supplies at a local petsmart or a pet store. And if she gets overheated take a lilwater on your fingers n rub it on the outside of her ears.DO NOT GET ANY WATER INSIDE HER EARS!
