Is Japanese Kanekalon fiber good for wigs?
I’m ordering a wig and it’s made out of Japanese Kanekalon fiber.. Is the wig gonna be all frizzy and tangly? I’ve never ordered a wig made out of that, but the site says it’s very close to human hair. Can I apply heat? Will it get tangled or frizzy? I just would like to know more about it. Thanks. (:
1.) If wig hair gets frizzy, try any sheen spray or wig spray to calm the frizziness and then comb. If not, wash then set with setting lotion to get the frizziness out. When wigs are tangled, use any detangling or sheen spray then comb the hair. You must treat like you would human hair. A hairdryer and a brush works wonders. Use it on medium heat and brush the ends while blowing it. It will become very soft. Try not to shampoo though. Shampoo dries out the fiber and makes it kind of ashy….it loses the vibrancy of whatever color it has.
2.) Kanekalon hair can be styled with heating implements such as steam, hair dryers and curling irons. When styled, kanekalon will not lose its shape. Other synthetic fibers cannot be styled in this manner.
