Hair extensions smell weird while using hot tools?
Okay so these are real human hair extensions and I just got them a week ago. I have already washed them. The extensions smell really weird when i use any type of hot tool on them. I know for a fact that they are not burning because I have turned the hot tool to the lowest setting and it still has that smell. I also use a heat protectant, one that works really well on my hair. Its the Tresemme heat protectant. i have tried washing them and the smell still reoccurs, I was just wondering if this happens to anyone else? Or if this is specific to my situation. If it is, I’d love suggestions on how to fix it. Thankss.
Some extensions just smell weird. The hair has been through so many chemical processes that there could very well just be a lingering odor that is intensified when heat touches it. I wouldn’t be to concerned, just keep shampooing and conditioning, and try using a scented heat protecting serum on them before you flat iron or curl and hopefully that will help. Good luck!
