thinking about getting a weave…?
So I’ve been wearing clip-in extensions for over a year now (18″ human hair), and I’m starting to think about just getting a weave.
It’s annoying to have to clip in my hair all the time, plus the clips can get pulled out easy, and can be a little bulky and show through my hair. Plus, when I get really drunk, I pull them out and show everyone, lol.
My friend (who went to hairdressing school) said she’d do it for $60 (hair included). I’m just wondering is it really worthwhile to get a weave, or is it just as annoying as clip-ins?

Forgot to mention that what I wanted to do it the braiding method, since I know the gluing and bonding can ruin your scalp and hair.
when you say weave, you’re meaning braiding the hair and having the extensions sewn in right? i had mine done with real human hair, my real hair was braided (with strands of synthetic hair mixed in to make it sturdier) and I had the human hair extensions sewn in. there are pros and cons to this hair style. personally i loved the way it looked. my hair was fuller and would keep the style for days. the hard part for me was that i couldn’t wash my hair everyday and when i did it was so difficult to comb my own hair and the extensions together. i would have to tug and it and i would pull alot of hair (both mine and the extensions) out. plus it would pull the extension from the braid and make it loose. with a weave you need to get it tightened often. especially if your hair isn’t nappy it’ll get loose fast. i could only last a month. it was nice looking but it wasn’t worth the itchy scalp and the all the scalp tenderness. i hope this helps
