Muhammad saw said about 0.02 males/female sex ratio as one of the qayamat signs, is this practically possible?
One of the sign as you all must be aware of is ‘The number of men will decrease, whilst the number of women will increase, until for every man there are 50 women’
This means World Human Sex Ratio should become 0.02 males/female; right now its 1.01 males/female http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gender_imbalance
What you all think this hadith is some sarcastic analogy/metaphor or a realistic hadith? if its a realistic hadith, then when you think this might be possible, according to me, its practically not possible until some 500 or more years

I have always wondered about this Hadith and when the signs of it start to appear.
The world wars 1 & 2 has caused the percentage of women to increase in a dramatic measures (I donot recall the percentage now).
But a world war 3 will be more devastating.
Having, seen that all the minor signs have occurred already one would wonder when the rest will occur.
As for Hadith though it is not reliable as Quran is; but we find that Authentic Hadith with rating sahih usually prove to be true, e.g. the fly Hadith was made a mockery for few centuries only to be proven by modern science.
