can i dye 100% human hair extensions??
I have 100% human hair extensions, blonde, weft style sewn on 4 tracks…I want to go DARK DARK DARK brown (almost black violet) can i dye these??? I know everyone says to go to a salon but I just want to know if I would be able to put in a protein filler and then dye it myself at home.
Since the hair is 100% human hair, it’s basically what’s growing out of your head, attached to some threads. So yes, you can dye them. It wont ruin the extensions or cause them to fall apart. Make sure you use a quality dye that doesn’t fade so you don’t have to repeatedly dye them because that WILL ruin the hair. A couple tips I have for you are: 1) Condition the hair with a keratin rebuilding conditioner after dying it. If you have the time condition the ends every night in between washing them. 2) Don’t blow dry the hair extensions, let them hang somewhere. 3) Keep hair straighteners and curlers away from your extensions unless you really need it.
