Can I put a light brown rinse on my hair to darken the color? If so will it stay dark or lighten back up?
I recently put light brown hair color in my hair. My hair was already a ashy brown, but i wanted to darken it, well it didn’t work, now my hair is a light golden brown, it’s to light for me so i want to darken it, do you think a rinse will do the trick? I was wondering if i put a medium brown rinse in on top of the light golden brown will it stain it so it can stay dark, or will it lighten back up as i continue to shampoo. I guess it would be like if your hair was blonde and you put a black rinse on top of it, will it go back to blonde after you shampoo, or will the black stain it? I know my question is long but thanks for your help. I will be shampooing my hair friday.
If you use a rinse it will rinse out, hence the name “rinse”.
You need to use a permanant or semi-permanant color and make sure that it is darker than your hair is now but not too dark. If it is too dark and you don’t like it then it will not be easy to get out. You will then have to strip your hair and that’s not an easy thing. Go with a friend who has a good eye and get them to hold up a swatch next to your hair or better yet, go to a beauty supply store and speak with their personnel, they know how to help you.
