Can you dye fusion hair extensions just like normal hair? If not how do you?
I spent a mini fortune on fusion hair extensions that are too light for my very dark brown hair so i tried to strip and dye my hair lighter.. didn’t work so now I want to just gye the fusion hair but i don’t want to ruin it. How do i go about doing that?
heres the thing with extenions..yes you can color them or alter the color. but because they go through such a harsh chemical treatment to get the color they are you need to use proper color tools and take extra care of them. im a liscensed stylist so when i color extensions i use a higher developer and the color is not guarenteed granted the color you use will be close in the result but not exact…
use a professional color…so to a salon and have them color your extensions…that way its proper true hair color not some crappy chemical left in a box on a grocery store shelf…have them so a test strand on a small part so you can see if thats what you want..dont risk ruining your stock of hair..
taking care of them after coloring is a bit more teadiouse.
you need color treated shampoo..id recomend s factors line..
all of your styling products must be for heat protectant and colored hair.. at night keep your hair in a loose braid and wear a silk scarf or do rag around your head…
is maintenance but so is having extensions..you can color and bleach them similiar to your head..
