How can I stop my hair elastics from breaking?
I use the little stretchy ones – but the fat ones, not skinny. Like this:

I use Scuncii, and sometimes Goody. I have thick, curly hair that I wear in a low/medium ponytail every day. I loop the scrunchy around 3 times. I’ve found they’ve started breaking a lot. I don’t know why. Not, I can’t use the skinny ones (like this: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/img-thing?.out=jpg&size=l&tid=2927633 ), they don’t hold my hair in place. I can’t use the fluffy ones (like this: http://www.corallita.com/shop/images/medium/hairaccessories/P1040368-1w_MED.jpg ), they look totally stupid on me.
If it helps, I sometimes (by accident) but my hand through the elastic while I loop it around my hair.
