i am going crazy with my awful hair!! how can you blow dry hair well?
i have been told so many times that i have naturally straight hair and when i try to blow dry it, it still comes out looking similar to this

and i use a nice round brush, CHI silk infusion, and i try not to use heat on it, i usually dry it on cold. i never use heat and when i do flat iron i use heat protector. i don’t do anything horrible to ruin my hair but it still turns out like that when it’s done blow drying it. how can i actually blow dry it so it turns out straight like it’s supposed to be. like this http://www.thefashionspree.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/2009-straight-hair-style1.jpg so i don’t have to flat iron it?
Are you drying your hair in sections, beginning at the roots and only brushing in one direction? That should make it smooth. Are you drying your hair while bending forward at your waist? That can cause your hair to “poof”. Those models in the photos have special hair dressing on their hair. You can try over the counter frizz-ease or other smoothing preparations after you blow dry your hair. Make sure you’re using a smoothing shampoo plus conditioner. You’ll also need a leave-in conditioner. I used to use Infusium 23, which left my hair very smooth. The shampoos that I had the most luck with were Pantene for dry/damaged hair and Tresemme. It will take a few uses of these products before you notice improvement, but to really get your hair to look like that of those models, you’ll need professional products.
