How do you make the part in a full lace wig look like your scalp?
I have a wig that I ordered that has lots of lace from front to back. In the photo it shows the model’s part showing what looks like her scalp underneath, all the way back. But since the lace is see through, and unless I shave my head, it’s going to show the wig cap, which too thin to look right. Below that my own hair color under it will show through some. Is there a way to do this and make it look natural?
First, found out if your full lace wig is a single knot and/or bleached knot in the front. If it is not, it is not going to look like the hair is coming from your scalp. You will see the lace nets. Unfortunately, some hair companies photoshop their photos to look a realistic as possible.
If it is a bleach knot unit you can place a flesh looking skin color cap on that close to your skin color. It doesn’t have to be your exact skin color, just something close to it. It will look like you scalp and visually have the appearance of it growing out of you scalp.
P.S. NEVER cut, shave you hair for a wig piece (esp. the front as I have seen some girls do)…
