Full Front Hair Colour

Full Front Hair Colour
What colour should I dye my hair?

I have fairly short hair, ranging from around 3cm to 15cm long (really short on one side, and layered around to the longer side). It’s currently a really dark brown (was told the colour had no red in it so if I bleach it, it shouldn’t turn orange) with a blonde chunk at the front, going around halfway off to the longer side.
I’m unsure whether I should go with a full head of light brown (or other light-ish colour – orange, red purple) or bleach the darker hair under the blonde chunk, making it look more like 3/4 of my hair’s blonde instead of just a chunk in the middle of everything.

Who ever told you that you didn’t have red in your hair was wrong. ANY dark color has red undertones to it. It’s the science of hair, I’m sorry. The darker the hair the more red. A blonde level 10 will have no red, and have ash and black level 1 will be all red under tones. So if your hair is “dark” brown, you absolutely have red undertones.

You can do either of the colors that you said, but just know that you will more than likely have to tone the blonde after you bleach it. It will almost guaranteed turn orange depending on how dark it is. When you bleach it (or have it bleached) use a blue pigmented bleach like Kalidocolors from Sally Beauty or a professional color like VLights (which is purple, but it will tone it as well) and even Blondor by Wella is blue pigmented. The blue will neutralize the orange. If the blonde does still turn out orange use a blue/violet toner over it to neutralize orange or yellow. If you end up bleaching the whole thing to do a lighter brown, make sure to use the color wheel to ensure that the new color your coloring over it has the right undertones in it to give you the color you want.
