hair breakage from coloring my hair blonde what can I do to stop it. I am African America?
I am African American female I have short thick hair. I dye my hair blonde in the front and now I have seen breakage. When I got my hair colored it was from a professional salon person. I have been putting deep condition in it and I still have breakage. Help I feel like putting a wig on until it grows out are a weave. I just want my healthy hair back. I know I should have never put the color in, however, that water under the bridge now.
Blonde hair on African America hair will experience breakage especially if bleaching was involved. Is there any reason why you are not returning to the salon you had the work done and inform the colourist that you are concerned that your hair is breaking? If you where not happy with any other purchase you would either return it to the store or do something about it hair dressing is no different. Weaving the already fragile hair will only result in more hair loss, so think about it before doing anything else to your hair.Are you either straightening or using heated curling tongs by any chance with a thermal protection product? If you are ease of the heat styling and return to the salon.
