Can You Play Sports In A Wig?
I play basketball, soccer, and run and want to know if my wig will fall off or if someone can pull it off. I’d be so embarrassed if that happened. I want to get a full head human hair wig from Sally’s so nothing really that fancy.
Of course you can. In fact there isn’t much you CAN’T do in them. This includes swimming, other sports, exercising, sleeping. Wigs are more comfortable than ever, and newer adhesion methods allow you to keep them in place for weeks, to months. Just keep in mind that there are lots of different ways to wear them, so find the one that’s right for you. Ultimately if you want to treat your wig like your own hair, you can (without all the muss and fuss). I prefer synthetics but human hair wigs are also popular.
Just a point of note. IF you choose not to do long term bonding, you may want to keep a few for different activities, (i.e. sleeping or swimming), unless you have a sleep cap to wear to protect it. Then again a sleep cap is good for long hair anyway. A friend got me into wearing them, and I have a selection for work, sleep, sports, and nights out on the town, but sometimes I get home and just don’t feel like changing so I have a long sleep bonnet to wear. I tried long term too, and taking care of your wig isn’t difficult, you pretty much treat it like your own hair (which I like).
Otherwise, clips, and tape will keep your wig in place, and some of the bonding methods make them indistinguishable from real hair. In fact with some of the styles with lace all around, you can make high ponytails!
