My parents “snap” sometimes.. I told her, but now what?
I have a mom with Multiple sclerosis. She hasn’t been working for 10 years. My dad Has a job. But lately he has been working extra hours, and on the weekends. Because medicine is expensive.
My parents are both Really stressed out, and have anger management……….. On occasion, (only 2 times) they have hit me, ( not too hard, but hard)
I haven’t told any of my friends, until last night i told my friend, “amy”
And today at school i saw her talking to people, she looked concerned. Then i would walk up too her and she would stop talking.
I don’t want anyone else knowing at my school. And i also don’t want my parents to get taken away by social services.
Should i talk to her?
What should i say?
I love my parents, but they just “snap” sometimes.

Just talk to her and tell her that you just wanted make sure she knew that information was totally confidential. Explain that you really don’t want anyone to know and that you only told her because you trust her. Tell her you’re so glad you can trust her to keep your secret.
