How will I be able to choose the right color for the exterior & interiors of my newly built house? Help pls.?
It is a 3-storey house, in the first floor is the living, dining and kitchen all in one space. Then on the right corner is the small laundry area but can also be an extension of the kitchen, while in front of it is a vacant space for a garage or a lanai. The second floor, has the 3- bedrooms for my daughter, son and me with a little hallway.
In the third floor is the roofdeck wherein 3/4part has a roof with one bedroom on the right side. All my two stairs were made of concrete and I used tiles and stainless railings.
First choose a brand of paint that you would like to use on your house. Go to a place that sells that paint and ask them to give you their fandeck. This will have every color they can produce for you. Exterior colors should be bold and dark for the trim and accents (i.e doors and shingles). The choice of interior color depends on your personality and your rugs/furniture. Anything that is in the room you are painting or will be in the room your painting will affect how the color you chose looks on the wall. Also lighting from windows and fixtures will affect the color.
I suggest going to a place that sells the small 1/2 pint size colors like wallauers paint stores. This way you can choose 2 or 3 colors for each wall and paint a small amount on the walls of the room to see if you like the color or not.
Remember the better the primer the better the finish!
