I have black human hair extensions and I want them a cherry brown color?
I bought black human hair extensions and I recently dyed my hair a cherry red brown. I want my extensions to be the same color. If I dyed them with like a 20 developer will the extensions lift enough and give me the color I want. How should I do it?
What you need to do is bleach the hair to remove the pigment. Then dye over the hair with the same hair dye you used on your real hair. As long as the extensions are human hair, this should work.
You have to bleach the hair and then redye because the black used probably has a blue undertone to it, and will not come out as red if you lighten it slightly. Also, you may need to buy some color remover and remove the dye before bleaching.
