Why won’t my black Euronext hair extensions bleach?
I purchased Euronext Remy 18 inch clip-in hair extensions from Sally’s Beauty Supply in late February. At the time, I had black hair, so I obviously bought them in “Jet Black.” Now that I’ve gone back to natural, I wanted to bleach my extensions to match. Despite my several attempts, they refuse to change color.
Can anyone explain to me why? I’ve tried color-stripper, bleaching, and dying, but nothing has worked. I don’t want my $90 to go to waste..
If you look closely, you can see that a few hairs in my test strand DID actually lighten. If those few strands lightened, why wouldn’t the rest?
The majority of the time, it’s best to get virgin remy hair if you’re wanting to be able to color it. If it’s not virgin, a lot of the time (regardless of whether it says human hair) will be mixed in with synthetic hairs as well, which of course, cannot be colored.
