I bought 100% remy human hair extensions in a very light auburn color (like orange) and I need to color them to match my light/medium reddish brown hair. I bought a neutral light brown semi-permanent dye (because I think a reddish brown dye will add too much red and I need it to be more brown than red). I’m thinking that some of the auburn tones will come through the neutral brown and the end result will be brown with some red. I’m worried that the extensions won’t take the dye, or that they’ll take it really quickly… has anyone had experience with this?
Any tips on dying extensions? Thank you!
I forgot to add something…. I know extensions are usually coated with silicon… will this keep the dye from being absorbed? Will the extensions be really damaged afterward? Thanks
