Can a Blonde Dress up As Bellatrix Lestrange?
I’m 18 years old and am going to a Halloween party next month, and I would really go as Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter. I’m just sort of concerned that my natural dirty-blonde hair might not work and I don’t feel like wearing a wig (although I suppose I will if I have to)… Would I look ok if I still made it all frizzy? Any advice? Thanks!
Just get a can of black hairspray from a costume store or the costume aisle of a retailer. The concern about dying blonde hair is that sometimes the dye stays in longer than expected–even with temporary dye. The colored hairspray will wash out because the color is encapsulated in the hairspray.
I do think you need to make your hair black to be recognized. If you don’t want to change the color, you could instead go as her sister, Narcissa Malfoy, who is a blonde.
