Okay, so most of my my hair fell out after I had major surgery. Now I’m very healthy, but my hair looks like I’m having chemo. We know that it is hard to get hired if you don’t look healthy, and I am job-hunting now. I found a beautiful human-hair wig – long, straight, thick brown hair. I like the way it looks just like that. Would that be an acceptable way to wear it at an interview? I guess one worry I have is that it makes me look like I spend major time on my hair, which I don’t. Somehow I don’t think a fussy hairstyle would be the answer.
I don’t want to look either careless and too-casual or high-maintenance!
I never used to worry about stuff like this because my actual job skills are pretty good, but in this economy, a person needs all the advantages she can get.
