When can you “pick” tomatoes?
As soon as the tomato is red can you “pick” it.
I have some swt. 100 that are about to be fully red.
Also when you “pick”.Some say to cut them off. How much of the stem do you leave on.
I also have some romas that are getting huge but no color change.
Is it okay to pick green? I had 2 red swt 100s one was open a little with juice coming out. the other was okay so i took it in.
It has been hot the last few weeks here. mostly upper 90s. Usually when it comes june – August it seems to stay in the 90s
yes cut when the are fully red and don’t not cut the green or Green yellow ones. get a pare of scissors and get the tomato fruit on the tree and cut at the bottom from where its growing out off about a half a centimetre down from the fruit.
