question about using ebay (item question)?
ive never used ebay before, but i would like to start. i would probably have a friend of mine who has used ebay before buy everything for me, so i dont need to worry too much about the payment part.
i want to make sure im not missing anything, and there are no “catches” to certain items i want to bid on.
for example, this item-

why would the seller make the price so low? could i potentially buy this item for less than a dollar? this seems to good to be true…
i must be missing or not understanding something…..
As you see, eBay is AUCTION site. And the item will be available for bids during 4 days.
Usually there’s a ‘bid war’ when it less a few hours (like 3 – 2) to the listing to end.
Lots of products start at less than a dollar and sells for much more.
I buy stuff from eBay very often and never had a problem. I usally buy things that are listed as ‘Buy It Now’, so I don’t need to bid and wait to see whether I am outbidded or If listing ends before I see that someone placed a bid higher than mine so I couldn’t outbid him.
‘Buy It Now’, means You’ll get for that price, You pay and then the seller will ship.
Before bidding and confirm buying, Check the feedback of the member and the trustworthy percentage (like the link above he has 115 of feedback and 100% positive, means that the all 115 were satisfied).
Some people of course, take the risk of buying from users with poor feedback, because their goods usually get sold for less than the users with high feedback.
eBay will usually help you If you don’t receive your item, and you have money back guarantee from PayPal.
eBay is very safe and I have never had such a problem with it. As example, Stuff I’ve bought from eBay include: iPod, iPhone, 22′ inch LCD Screen, lots of cds, singles and dvds, games, etc.
